ICAC Moral Education Website



Background

The Community Relations Department (CRD) of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is responsible for educating the public against the evils of corruption and enlisting public support for the ICAC.  The Department has long been committed to promoting moral education for young people through collaborative efforts with educators.  The Moral Education Website (ME Web) provides a comprehensive range of moral education materials developed by the ICAC.




Contents of the ME Web

The ME Web is comprised of the following sections:

1. Moral Education Resources

This section contains moral education packages developed by the ICAC for secondary / primary schools and kindergartens.  Integrity, fairness and law compliance have always been the core messages of these teaching materials.  The ICAC also capitalizes on the latest trends in the development of school curriculum when designing teaching packages for teachers and students.

The English Moral Education Resources includes:

- "Life and Society" Teaching Package (for secondary students)

2. Youth and Moral Education Projects
The ICAC organizes learning projects to educate students on the importance of upholding positive values.  This section provides details about these projects to facilitate students' participation and exchange of ideas.

3. Lesson Plan Express 
Discussion questions and brief teaching plans are updated in this section from time to time for teachers' use.

- Money and I (for secondary students)
- Care and Love (for primary students)
- Managing Interpersonal Conflicts (for secondary students)

4. Feature Interviews (Chinese Only)

In this section, educators and social leaders share their views on how to nurture positive values among the young generation.  Written in a lively and interesting manner, the interviews are suitable materials to support the teaching and learning of moral and civic education in schools.


5. Reference Materials for Teachers (Chinese Only)

Relevant ICAC publications are posted in this section for teachers' reference.  Discussing moral education in both theory and practice by education practitioners, the ICAC Moral Education Periodical is one of the major highlights.
